Condolences...FROM Paul

This is a second hand story about Paul, but i thought it appropriate for sharing.  Recently, Courtney Nelson of Mentor passed away.  Stephanie received not a text, not a facebook message, but a phone call from Paul when it happened.  In this era of disconnection, and of letting social media and technology dictate our actions, Paul made the personal effort.  He always did.

On my recent trip back to Minnesota, i was reminded by my aunts and uncles about what happens when Paul came to town with Owen.  They made every effort to visit and see all the aunts and uncles, all the cousins, everyone they could, EVERYTIME they came to town.  Again, Paul made the extra effort for a personal connection.  It was that forthright attitude, his demeanor, his candor, that sold me on him from day 1.  He was the first man to ever make the cut for my sister.  I am proud to call him a brother.  He was a man in every sense of the word.  When you think of 'what a man does' he did it.  Provide, care, nurture, love, shelter, protect, Paul did all he could for his family and for everyone in his life.
