Edward L. Jansen, 88 of Lake Geneva, passed to eternal life Wednesday April 5, 2017 at his residence. Edward was born on October 24, 1928 in Antioch, IL to the late Edward and Edith(Horton) Jansen. Edward was the former owner of The Lake Geneva News Agency from 1964-1984.
Edward is survived by his wonderful children Cheryl, Keith and Randy (Dani) Jansen. Proud grandfather of Jason, Aaron (Misty), Tiffanie (Matt), Allie (Jared), Sydney and Cory (Jillian). Special great grandfather of Rolando, Kiala, Cristian, Gabriella, Braylin, Tyler and Xoe. Current husband of LaVerne Jansen and former husband and special friend of Patricia Jansen Hall. Brother of Harold (Susan) Jansen. Preceded in death by his parents, Brother Ralph, and granddaughter Samantha. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Steinke-Lazarczyk Funeral Home, 515 Center St., Friday April 14, 2017 from 1-3 PM followed by a celebration of Ed’s life at the American Legion Hall, 735 Henry St.
