Karl H. Deak, age 64 of Geneva Township, WI passed away at his residence on Monday, January 1, 2018. Karl was born on May 11, 1953 in Passau, Germany to Karl and Josefine (Friesl) Deak. During his life, Karl enjoyed league bowling, hunting and fishing, and rooting for the Cubs. In his later years, he loved to visit fishing resorts all over Wisconsin. He loved good food, too, and often knew the name of a diner or restaurant to check out as he was traveling. He was a loyal employee of Ramada, Carson's, Menards, and U.S. Bank before he retired in 2013. He is survived by his father Karl and his brother Ernest (Tracy) Deak. Loving father to Derek (Beata) Deak and Monica (Edward) Brunell. Devoted grandpa of Olivia, Erin, and Maeve Brunell. He is also survived by Uncle Kurt (Molly) Friesl, Aunt Rosemarie Kilgore, and other relatives and friends. Karl is preceded in death by his mother Josefine and sister Jeannette. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Steinke-Lazarczyk Funeral Home (515 Center St., Lake Geneva, WI) from 12 to 1:30p.m. with a service at 1:30p.m. Fr. Sergio Lizama of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church officiating. Private inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva, WI.
