Condolence From: Jim Wilson
Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. S's passing. I never had him as a teacher at Badger (class of 76). Mr. Smarslik was always in the halls bird-dogging students and though at first I was scarred of him he soon became a great friend to me and all the students at Badger. I never heard a complaint against him and he had a very developed sense of humor that could make me/us all laugh. He also spent time with all students and constantly encouraged us to do well in school. He was the best teacher and friend to all the students and when pressed entertained us with stories of his past work as "Dancing Bear" on the TV show of my youth-Captain Kangaroo. With his passing he will live on as a great person who helped all of us. I will miss him greatly.

Condolence: To the Smarlik family I offer my condolences. I was in the Badger High School class of 1984. Mr. Smarslik was my teacher for both Physics and Photography. And I know that everyone who's had him for a teacher would say the same thing...thank you Mr. Smars we loved you...and our time at Badger High! And to Jan, my dear classmate and softball buddy, your brother Jay was a true friend to me and I will always remember him; surely he and your dad are hanging out together in paradise.
